About the Author
Judith Kerr escaped to England with her family in 1936, after fleeing Hitler’s Germany. During the War she worked for the Red Cross before winning a scholarship to the Central School of Art and Crafts in 1945. She worked as an artist and as a BBC television scriptwriter, before becoming one of the best-loved children’s authors of the twentieth century. Judith Kerr has written three novels about her childhood, including ‘When Hilter Stole Pink Rabbit’, and many picture books.

Wonderful book for children and adults with a sense of humor.

Oh my, I cannot believe the earlier review that reviles this book. Clearly someone without a sense of humor who takes things far, far too seriously. I first discovered (and bought) this book in 1982 on a visit to England. I thought the illustrations were wonderful and the story hysterical. Everyone I've shown it too (adult) or read it to (child) has loved itthis book. I just watched the 2015 Sainsbury's commercial with Mog the Cat, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. And then I got to wondering if there were any Mog books available on Amazon, and here I am, trying to decide which one/s to buy. At least I already have this one, still treasured at age 59+!

Book "Mog and the Baby"by Judith Kerr arrived fairly quickly and in excellent condition! I had unfortunately confused the title so have to order the correct book!

This is a HORRIBLE book!

This is a HORRIBLE book!!! Why would you take your baby to be looked after by someone who is at home nursing there own sick kid? Plus she is the worst babysitter EVER!!! First she doesn't pay attention enough to notice that the baby is eating the cat's fish. Then she doesn't notice that the baby follows the cat out the window and into traffic. Then after the baby is saved from being run over, by the cat no less, she comes out to the commotion to serve her husband, who was the one to almost run the baby over, a cup of tea. Then the kids convince the baby's mother that the cat is a hero and deserves a reward and she obliges. The 'grateful' mother says "Mog saved my baby from being run over," and the woman who was supposed to be looking after her says "I told you, Mog loves babies " and everyone has a smile on their face. If I left my kid in the cat's of someone and found that they were negligent enough to let the baby run out into traffic, I would be PISSED!!!! and if I had been the one to make the mistake of letting the baby out (which I would never do) then I would be apologetic and definitely not preoccupied with serving anyone tea. Ridiculous book!!!!
