Great, funny, classic book!

I love, love, love Judith Kerr and wanted my three and a half year old son to love her books too. This is a really fun and funny one that he enjoys reading with mum and dad.

This is a BRITISH book. It was ALWAYS "bother."

The people complaining about the "change" from "drat" to "bother" might want to educate themselves before they complain. This is a BRITISH book. The original text was ALWAYS "bother." It hasn't been changed- it's been changed back, because modern publishers assume Americans are now bright enough to understand that people in different countries use different expressions from Americans.
What's even more ludicrous is the people who are complaining of "political correctness," as though there is something "politically incorrect" about the word "drat." People really need to stop turning everything into a political conspiracy, and they really ought to actually know the facts before they speak.

*I* didn't forget Mog

I must have gotten Mog when I was 3 or 4 years old. I loved it as a little kid, I still get a kick out of it now. My nieces love cats, as I do, and so it's a joy to find it's still in print. Anyone who knows a cat can identify with Mog, the perpetually absent-minded cat with the 10-second attention span. Miraculously, she saves her owners *because* she's not the brightest bulb on the billboard.
I plan on ordering (eventually) a few copies...mine has survived 25 years, been on cross-country moves, chewed on by the family dog, and it's still a family treasure. Hopefully it'll be in print for another 30 years.
