About the Author
Michael Bond was born in Newbury, Berkshire in 1926 and educated at Presentation College, Reading. He served in the Royal Air Force and the British Army before working as a cameraman for BBC TV for 19 years. In 1997 he was awarded an OBE for his services to children's literature.

A wonderful collection of Paddington picture books in a neat case.

Paddington fans of all ages will enjoy the goodness of the Paddington's Suitcase collection. It's a very sturdy little case with velcro latch and handle, and when you flip open the front, it reveals eight Paddington picture books. Lots of smiles from the Paddington fan in my house.
In these days of commercial exploitation and the diminution of the value of innocence, Paddington serves as an island refuge for children. Ditch those electronics, keep them away from the TV, to hell with Disney ... deliver to your kids the wonder and beauty and innocence of Paddington. There are enough Paddington books, from picture books to kids' novellas, to span their first decade of life.

Cute! For Very Young Children-Picutre Book Editions

Cute little set, this is the picture book level, not the original stories. For very young children, suitcase is laminated cardboard but well put together. It is a nice item, if someone is a fan of Paddington, I am sure they will enjoy it. The author published TONS of Paddington books at many reading levels. A sure sign of the lasting popularity of the adventures of Paddington; children get hooked on him and continue to move up the reading chain of the books!

Great books, wonderful packaging.

This is just adorable. I bought it as a gift to accompany a stuffed Paddington for my grandson. The suitcase seems sturdy and fastens with velcro for easy opening and closing. And the 8 books fit neatly inside. I couldn't be more delighted.
